Prenatal Yoga (English)

Yoga Mama Principle – The yogic alternative to HypnoBirthing.

I’m glad you’re interested in my birth preparation method. I created this yoga programme just as I desperately would have needed it during my pregnancy.

Breath, movement and relaxation – these are the cornerstones of a good birth. And so it is no coincidence that the Yoga Mama course also focuses on these disciplines. The course consists of 40 minutes of asana, i.e. physical yoga practice, 20 minutes of breathing and relaxation and 30 minutes of theory. In this way, you give your body the opportunity to go through your pregnancy and into the birth strong and flexible.

At the same time, you will learn essential tools to help you relax during birth so that the body can release enough endorphins, which can be more powerful than morphine. You learn how to reduce fears, how to bond intensively with your baby already during pregnancy and you get valuable knowledge in the theory inputs so that you can start your life as a mum in an enlightened and self-determined way.

In short: I use the tools from yoga, from birth-preparing hypnosis and from my work as a doula, which in my opinion best prepare you for a birth and support you during pregnancy.

The course lasts for 8 lessons of 90 minutes each and costs 380 Swiss francs, including two audio recordings for practising. It is recommended to start at the earliest from the 17th week of pregnancy. After that, it is possible to start up to the due date. Most supplementary insurances cover part of the costs. Clarification is the responsibility of the participant.

We’ll be talking about all those questions:

  • What is the basic principle of a natural birth?
  • How do I use self-hypnosis and yoga nidra to prepare for birth?
  • How does breathing help me deal with labor pain?
  • How do I learn to breathe properly?
  • How do I learn to manage the pain?
  • What medications might I be offered and how do they work?
  • What resources do I have for dealing with the pain?
  • What is the actual process of childbirth?
  • What interventions might happen?
  • How do I best prepare my body for birth?
  • How do I use the birth plan?
  • What are the tasks of my companion?
  • What awaits me in the postpartum period?
